There’s nothing that can make you look older quite as quickly as eyelids that droop down farther than they’re supposed to. Droopy eyelids can also make you appear uninterested or un-energized, traits that can make social interaction a little trickier than normal.
While some dermal fillers may be able to alleviate the drooping, in general your best long-term option is probably blepharoplasty. Blepharoplasty can be used to treat:
- Drooping, puffy eyelids
- Bags beneath the eyes
- Lower eyelids that droop down
- Semi-permanent dark circles beneath the eyes
- Fine lines above or below the eyes
- Drooping that hides the eye’s natural curve
Before getting blepharoplasty or any other facial surgery procedure, it’s a good idea to come to the Morgenstern Center for a professional consultation with our facial plastic surgeons. An examination of your eyelid’s excess skin and elasticity will give us a better idea of what options are available, and which are most likely to work.
