Join patients from around the world in trusting the Morgenstern Center to provide excellent results.
Dr. Kenneth Morgenstern is a native of the Philadelphia area. From the early part of his career, Dr. Morgenstern was fascinated by the challenges and transformational power of orbital surgery (surgery around the eyes). In 2002, he was one of only 9 doctors chosen to receive specialty training in orbital and oculofacial surgery. Not only has he been extensively trained, but he has advanced the field as well. He holds a patent for his innovative work on tear ducts, with many other patents pending.
Receiving his undergraduate degree from Emory University, he was active in scientific research at the CDC. Returning to Philadelphia for medical school, he obtained his MD from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University. One of the few Philadelphia facial plastic surgeons trained in both reconstructive and cosmetic facial surgery Dr. Morgenstern is an expert in procedures of the eyes, face, head, and neck.
If you are interested in the most effective, long-term facial rejuvenation results, then a facelift may be right for you. A facelift works deep below the surface of your skin, creating a more youthful facial appearance that lasts many years.
There are many different styles of facelifts, and they are specific to the type of results you want. As Philadelphia’s facial rejuvenation specialist, Dr. Morgenstern can work with you to determine the best way to get the results you are looking for - with the fastest recovery time possible. You can trust your face to Dr. Morgenstern.
Like your face, the neck area is one of the first places to age. Skin begins to sag, vertical bands of the skin may develop, and fat may gather beneath the chin.
By addressing these key signs of aging, neck lift surgery not only makes your neck look younger, but it can also brighten your whole face, especially when combined with a facelift. Dr. Morgenstern has performed thousands of neck lifts and facelifts over the years and understands the particulars of each procedure and how they can work in harmony. During your consultation, he will evaluate your options and help you determine the best path forward to get the results you want.
When the area around your eyes begins to age, it can make you look more tired and older than you feel. Eyelid surgery returns the eye area to a more youthful appearance. Eyelid surgery is sometimes medically necessary if droopy upper eyelids or a sagging brow is interfering with your vision.
Because of the delicate nature of this surgery, it is important to select a doctor with a steady hand and a trained eye. Dr. Morgenstern is uniquely trained in oculofacial surgery - one of the few doctors in the area to specialize in these procedures. He can deftly repair the area around the eyes, reducing the signs of aging and refreshing your look.
Signs of aging can dramatically affect the forehead. Exposure to sunlight, the effects of gravity, loss of skin elasticity, and other factors can all cause the brow to sag downward. A brow lift is a facial rejuvenation procedure that restores a smoother, tighter brow. This is done by making incisions along the hairline and lifting the muscle and skin, trimming excess skin along the way.
Experience matters when performing brow lift surgery. A brow lift is about more than just going through the motions. It takes a true professional like Dr. Morgenstern to know exactly how much to lift the brow to make sure the results look natural and are not detectable.
Scars are formed when fibrous connective tissue joins together skin that has not completely healed after a wound. This connective tissue binds the skin together and prevents further injury, but also can be raised and visible - a tangible reminder of the original wound. This can prove to be physically or psychologically painful and bring back memories of that trauma.
There are many factors that affect how a scar develops, including the type and cause of the original injury, the skills of the surgeon who initially treated the wound, and how your own body heals. No scar can be removed completely, of course, but our skilled Philadelphia scar revision specialists can perform reconstructive facial surgery to improve the appearance of a scar so it is less visible. By altering the shape and size of the scar and reducing it, our scar specialists can provide a noticeable improvement to the area, and hopefully some emotional closure as well.
