Morgenstern Center is proud to offer our patients in Lancaster Botox treatments to address the signs of aging.

Botox is a no-downtime, painless facial cosmetic procedure, with virtually immediate results and can be completed in a single appointment. It is proven to reduce wrinkles, soften frown lines, crow’s feet, forehead lines, and smoker’s lines. It can even help to smooth out the lines on your neck.

Botox Cosmetic Anti Aging

Laughter may indeed be the best medicine for keeping you feeling young. But over time, those laugh lines and crow’s feet that show at the corners of your eyes can start to add up, making you look older than you feel.

Do not let wrinkles stop you from sharing your smile and laughter! Dr. Morgenstern offers his Lancaster Botox patients a no-downtime cosmetic treatment that reduces the appearance of skin wrinkles around the eyes, on the forehead, around the mouth, and even on the neck. It will allow you to keep being you and face your friends and family with more confidence. So keep sharing in the laughter without the worry of looking older than you feel.

Botox is an injectable protein made from Botulinum toxin, which when purified can be used to soften the lines of the face, relax muscles and even decrease sweating.

The medicine itself has been around since 1950 and is widely used in both cosmetic and medical issues.

When a muscle contracts, your nerves release a chemical called acetylcholine at the junction where the nerve endings meet muscle cells – this causes the cells to contract, which in turn can cause wrinkles in your skin. Botox injections decrease the release of acetylcholine, which minimizes muscle contraction and therefore decreases the formation of skin wrinkles.

Botox is commonly used to temporarily relax the facial muscles that cause wrinkles in the forehead, around the eyes, in the chin, and in the neck. It can also be used to address facial spasms and eye twitching.

For anyone who is visibly noticing those outward signs of aging (what are often referred to as “dynamic wrinkles”), such as crow’s feet, forehead lines, or even the ‘frown lines’ between your eyebrows or around your mouth, Botox can help smooth these areas out to restore a smooth, wrinkle-free facial aesthetic.

While we do same-day treatments, we require that our Lancaster Botox patients have a consultation prior to the treatment to verify their eligibility.

The Botox procedure only takes a few minutes, and it will not require anesthesia. The physician will use a very small needle to inject Botox into very specific muscles, with only minor discomfort. It will take between 2 days and 2 weeks to see the full results. The results typically last 3 to 4 months, after which point, muscle action will slowly begin to return, allowing the lines and wrinkles to begin to reappear.

By relaxing the muscles over a period of time the lines will begin to fade and soften so even after the Botox has worn off the desired effects will persist. At the Morgenstern Center for Orbital and Facial Plastic Surgery, we strive to deliver the best Botox Lancaster has to offer.

Botox is delivered through an injection, which is easily tolerated by most patients. You may feel a slight pinch with the injections but most people find it very tolerable.

We understand that some people are not a fan of needles, so we can provide a topical anesthetic if desired. You might feel slight tenderness at the injection sites the first day, but that is about it!
