Philadelphia Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Kenneth Morgenstern

Elite Training. Exceptional Results.

Dr. Morgenstern is certified by the American College of Surgeons (FACS), American Academy of Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS), and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). He is also Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

This highly specialized training and broad experience uniquely qualify Dr. Morgenstern as a specialist in cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries of the eyes, head, face, and neck. To reach this elite level and maintain these associations, Dr. Morgenstern has to uphold a number of stringent requirements, including meeting educational and training qualifications and passing written and oral exams. Board-certified surgeons go the extra mile to demonstrate their expertise, knowledge, and skill in their field of specialty.

Dr. Morgenstern is one of the few surgeons in the country who is trained in oculofacial plastic surgery, facial cosmetic surgery, general/trauma surgery, and ophthalmology. He also performs functional and reconstructive surgeries for tumors, traumatic injuries, tear-duct blockages, and age-related changes to the orbits, eyelids, and face. He is expertly trained in the art of cosmetic surgery and performs procedures such as face and neck lifting, brow lifting, upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty, and facial implants.

As a highly trained physician, Dr. Morgenstern knows that surgery is not the answer to every problem. Some issues should be addressed more conservatively using non-invasive or minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Morgenstern uses modalities such as Profound or the Genius, Botox, fillers, chemical peels, and multiple types of laser therapies to treat a myriad of conditions. He performs these procedures with the same steady hand and attention to detail as he does surgeries. His elite training and gifted touch create a natural, youthful appearance his patients love.

Philly Proud

As a Philadelphia native, Dr. Morgenstern has been serving the greater Philadelphia area for the last fifteen years. He attended Lower Merion High School and received his undergraduate degree from Emory University, where he was active in scientific research at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. After that, he returned to Philadelphia for medical school and obtained his MD from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University.

He was awarded a categorical surgery position and slotted for chief residency at MCP/Hahnemann University. He was awarded the resident of the year award and won the Humanitarian Award from the Pennsylvania Medical Society. He went on for further training in ophthalmology at West Virginia University, where he also served as Chief Resident. He continued his education with a fellowship in oculofacial plastic surgery at the Ohio State University. He then completed extensive medical training in craniofacial surgery at the Children's Hospital of Columbus and his facial cosmetic surgery training at the Center for Facial Rejuvenation.

An Eye for Innovation
