Facial Benefits of Microdermabrasion and Chemical Peels
Over time, skin can begin to look dull, tired and worn. Your skin may look this way because of:
- Sun damage
- Acne Scarring
At Suite 202 med spa, our chemical peels and microderm abrasion treatments will refresh the skin on your face, creating a glowing, youthful complexion. We offer a number of different chemical peels designed to address different skin issues. Another option at our Suite 202 spa is DermaSweep, a microderm abrasion technology that uses gentle sweeping bristles instead of particles to whisk away dead and damaged skin cells on the outer surface of your face.
Chemical peels are made of different medical solutions. The solution is applied to your face to peel away the unwanted surface layer of skin cells. Depending on your unique skin and what you want to achieve, a chemical peel can be light, medium or deep. These different chemical peels reach different layers of your skin to produce the desired result. Peels are minimally invasive, and the amount of redness and skin crusting that occurs after your peel depends on its strength.
Microdermabrasion uses handheld devices to whisk away the outer layer of skin cells. The skin cells are whisked away with either a diamond tipped wand, the gentle bristles of DermaSweep, or a stream of crystals. Use in combination with Dermaplaning and Infusion for best results.
Why choose Microdermabrasion or Chemical Peels?
If you want to freshen and revive the appearance of your face but without facial cosmetic surgery, you may want to consider choosing microdermabrasion, dermaplaning or a chemical peel. These treatments can be performed alone or in combination to achieve certain cosmetic goals.
These treatments are less expensive than facial cosmetic surgery, and they can restore the healthy glow of your skin. There is minimal downtime associated with these treatments, and for some patients there is no downtime at all. Redness is common after some of these treatments, and you may decide to take several hours off from work and other activities while your skin heals, but for the most part, patients are able to return to their daily routines quickly.
